Blue Watch crew from Broughton were called to this spectacular factory fire at 11.00pm in the Cheetham Hill area. These pictures were taken the next day when Green Watch went relieving the night crews. At is peak 10 fire engines and several 'Specials' including a Hose Laying Vehicle, Operational Support Unit, Control Unit & two Aerial Monitors attended the fire. Many surrounding houses had to be evacuated and water jets used to protect them from the radiating heat
